Knicks top the Celtics in the NBA's first game, 106-104

Carmelo Anthony scored 37 points in the first game of the 2011-12 season as the Knicks rallied to beat the Celtics at the Madison Square Garden. New York got out to a big lead, but Boston got the lead thanks to Rajon Rondo's 31 point, 13 assist effort. Melo would lead the Knicks on a 27-17 4th quarter as he scored the go-ahead points off of free throws. Boston had a chance to tie, but Kevin Garnett missed a jumper and New York won the NBA's first game this season.
